Ever Wanted To Get Involved With Radio?

Have you ever dreamed of being a radio presenter? Do you have technical skills you would like to use as a producer or engineer? Could you be a roving reporter covering local events and interviewing individuals, community groups and local business leaders? Would you like to help us with marketing, advertising, website maintenance, running events or any of the other unseen aspects of running a radio station? Or would you just like to give back to your community?

You don’t need previous radio experience to get involved, Bradley Stoke Radio is a community station dedicated to the community and run by the community. All you have to do to get involved is become a member of Bradley Stoke Radio. We are all volunteers and we accept all ages, ethnic background and are accessible for those with physical and mental disabilities. You are in control as to how much time you wish to commit to us and what areas you would like to get involved in.

As a member you will have access to our training courses, which will enable you to submit ideas for your own show and give you the chance at the privilege to broadcast live on air. Everyone has to complete the training course to broadcast with Bradley Stoke Radio no matter how much previous radio experience they have. The course runs for eight weeks and covers both technical and legal training. In the meantime there are so many opportunities to get involved behind the scenes. We are always looking for more volunteers in all aspects of the station so don’t hesitate in joining us.

Membership to Bradley Stoke Radio is just £20 for a whole year (with an optional family membership where you can add a family member for only an additional £1 each). You can download a BSR Membership Form by right-clicking the blue link and “Save Target As” or “Save Link As” that way you can email it back to us, hand it into the studio or post it in an envelope addressed to Membership Secretary, Bradley Stoke Radio, Brook Way Activity Centre, Brook Way, Bradley Stoke, Bristol, BS32 8DA. Your membership will only be processed once the fee has been paid.
