Ian (Moley) Gilson

My name’s Ian although most of my friends call me Moley, you can too. I host “The Z List”, which is a strange little show to say the least. Each week, I throw a guest into the scenario of a zombie apocalypse and ask what music they would be listening to during the mayhem and carnage. There’s a few comedy sketches and fun social commentary to boot. The music genres are never the same so theres something for everyone. If you are on Twitter, you can tweet the show @BSRTheZList

In the past I’ve earned my living as a singer and KJ but am now retired from the live scene and manage a shop in Yate. I do, however, still bang out a tune or two on a karaoke website occasionally and can’t resist a few theatrics now and again…

In 2006, I broke the Guinness World Record for continuous solo karaoke with a time of 28 hours and 27 minutes. I am, to my knowledge, the only person to ever set the record without repeating a song. My time was, alas, beaten before publication of the next edition of the big book, but I do have a certificate to hang on the wall for prosperity. One side effect was that I now hear mashups in everything and am always singing the wrong song lyrics to tunes if they fit. I have written a mashup musical called “Killeroke” – maybe I’ll play it some time…

I want to thank everyone at BSR for making me feel so welcome and putting up with my general wackyness. Aside from hosting, I work on the fundraising team and am happy to answer any questions you may have regarding sponsorship and advertising.
