Connor Summers, Presenter of The Sunday Sports Show
A couple of months ago, it seemed like an average Saturday morning, mum went to do the shopping at Tesco in Bradley Stoke. She phoned me up when she got there and said, ‘It looks like Bradley Stoke Radio are having an event in the square. Volunteers needed? Do you want me to pick up a leaflet for you?’. Of course I said yes! I have always been interested in being a radio presenter, so this was just what I was looking for.
In the next couple of weeks I started listening to Bradley Stoke Radio and was seriously considering becoming a member. The week after that I worked up enough courage to go into the studio and say hello to who ever was in there and give them my contact details. From that moment onwards I have been doing many training sessions and even co-presenting shows, for not one moment do I regret becoming a member and joining Bradley Stoke Radio, all the other members have been so kind to me and I have settled in really well.
One of the best things about being a member and presenter / Co-presenter on Bradley Stoke Radio is that everyone is so friendly and its a really nice bunch of people that are involved with Bradley Stoke Radio. I am now really enjoying myself at Bradley Stoke Radio and have already been on quite a few shows in the couple of months I have been here.
After co presenting for a bit there was a Sunday slot available at six O’clock, I thought this would be an excellent time to do a sports show commenting on the sport that has happened in the local community and wider area in the week just gone. After I had spoken to the program controllers about this, they said it was fine and I started the show shortly afterwards and it has been going ever since! I really enjoy presenting the show and can hopefully develop it in the future.
