James Ford

Hello my name is James ford and I am a presenter on a show called teenage takeover. In June I emailed off my membership form but as it was during their first RSL they couldn’t do much until a little later. So nearer the end on june I became a member on Bradley Stoke Radio.

I came down to one of their OB’s (Outside Broadcasts) outside the Willow Brook Centre and and met many people e.g Will, Bex, Andy, Clive etc. As I saw the studio for the first time it was very different from the pictures I had seen on Facebook, Twitter and the gallery on this site.

Will offered me a chance to come on his show to see what it presenting a show is like, and then a couple of weeks later Bex invited me on her show which I really enjoyed both of them.

I was talking to Will and he was thinking what if we were to make a show? So over about a month we thought of the name ‘Teenage Takeover’, what will be in it we thought? This is where we came up with everything that teenagers would be interested in as we were teenagers ourselves. We did a demo show off air which took a while to get use to as it was our first show, But we did it. On Saturday 26th November we did our first LIVE show, this is when we decided we needed a sports presenter as this is what teenagers like is sport. Unfortunately will has dropped out so is no longer presenter of Teenage Takeover, so it is just me and Connor. I really enjoy presenting shows and hope to continue in later life.
